Measures against Novel Corona virus

As the outbreak of respiratory illness caused by the new strain of coronavirus is likely to continue spreading, we ask you to take the following precautions for the time being (until the end of February).

  1. Avoid visiting China (including Hong Kong) for Institute business, study, or personal matters.
  2. If you have returned to Japan from China (including Hong Kong) on or after Wednesday, January 15, 2020, stay home for two weeks upon return, whether you have symptoms of the coronavirus or not. Authorized absence will be granted for those two weeks.
Important: If this applies to you, make sure to report your name, student ID number, travel destination, places you stayed, stopover locations, return date, and whether you have symptoms or not. (See contact email below.)
  3. Suspend accepting visitors to the Institute from China (including Hong Kong).

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops, and inform you at a later
date of the measures to be taken from March.
